Read the fine print!

Be certain to read the fine print on this item. In the first place, the documentation states it will only work with Windows machines unlike some other KVM switches which the manufacturer realizes might be used with Linux or Macintosh machines. More importantly, look at what comes in the package. They only include two cables with the switch. If you are buying a 4-port KVM switch to actually control 4 devices, you have to order the additional 2 cables from D-Link at $20 a cable!

It will not work on Microsoft Server 2008. Any other OS is fine. I bought this to use is a multi server area and had to go a different route. It DOES work on XP and 7

Equipment full of bugs

The product is buggy and I couldn't make it to work, does not recomend it look like a power issue, should be better if it has its own power supply

Funky keyboard activity

I tried this and ended up returning it. I assume (or hope for other buyers' sakes) it was defective, but it would repeat keystrokes at random while typing. Sometimes it would work fine for 5-10 minutes, then it would hang every minute or so...only stoppable by pressing the ESC key. I was using a new wired USB Lenovo keyboard and it is now working fine on the replacement KVM (different brand).

Works with some issues.

Works with some issues.Button works to change sources, but have to click it several times to cycle through my computers, laptop and phone dock. When you change inputs you may have to pull all of the USB out which powers the KVM down and allows it to reset. The cables stick out of each side so it needs about double it's size in space on your desk. The biggest issue I had was when you hold down a key it would only register once, so in a fps game it was like taking a single step per key press...

Great device.

Great device, does everything the specifications say. Only thing I miss is the use of wireless connector for the mouse.

Works fine. The button to switch between inputs may need some additional presses (I haven't tried the hot-keys feature yet, since I'm switching between BSD, Linux and Windows machines). The packaging includes only 2 KVM cables, however they use standard VGA and USB A-to-B cables, so finding additional cables should be easy. Also, there are no mounting holes on the back and the placement of the ports is a bit awkward.

Won't work with wireless Keyboard/mouse and only comes with 2 cables which I didn't think would be a problem because I have cables...however this kvm requires a different cable...

Stay away!

It doesn't work with Mac machines at all and they have the worst customer care ever: more than a week to get a lousy political answer saying that I should check with Apple to understand why the KVM doesn't work with my Mac!Moreover, it only comes with 2 cables, even if it is a 4 port switch.Stay away!
