They're really fast, I bought 2 of them for a MAC Pro mid 2010 and works great, the only thing is doesn't came with heat sink.

Works like a champ- NO HEAT SPREADERS
 
Very happy with the memory itself. It works in our Dell R710's once the paring is setup correctly. BUT the picture is not the item you're getting. There are no heat spreaders on this memory. It's crucial's version of value select.

Had to return - I ordered two pieces and they were not identical
 
I was buying these for a Dell server, and it had a very picky BIOS that refused to boot with this RAM when I put both in. There were visible, and apparently electrical differences between the two part I got.Return was easy, and I ended up ordering a matched pair direct from Crucial. That cost more, but it worked...

It's ECC so it's expensive (the reason for the value rating) but other than that, performs flawlessly and does everything it's supposed to!
