The Celestron Granite Binocular is the Spartan Beast in comparison to the competition ...

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I own and have reviewed several pairs of binoculars, but by far the Celestron Granite Binoculars are the movers and shakers in their price range. If you are a birder, outdoorsman, or are working on your survivalist skills, the Celestron experience is one you might want to consider. There's a lot of power in these binoculars, but the lightweight magnesium body was a real plus when I was outside working with these today. If you are into...

Excellent value optics -sharp and bright

I use these binoculars primarily for birdwatching. I also own a pair of Nikon 8x42 Monarch 5 binoculars, which I also like. They are on par in terms of optical quality (both being bright and sharp). Notwithstanding the extra goodies that come in the box, I give a slight edge to the Celestron Granite because it feels more natural to hold (in my case) and its operations are very smooth (especially when adjusting the interpupillary distance). This is truly a hidden gem!

Exactly what I expected!

Perfect design, feels very comfortable in the hands. In my personal opinion, and like owner, it is almost identical like specs with Bushnell 8x42 Legend L-Series but with a bit more sharp focus, maybe because of the "Open Bridge" design. Don't hesitate, buy it, you can't find better for this price.

Super Binos

Celestron makes top-quality telescopes and this is evident in these Granite 8x42s.I'm a long-time astronomy buff and these binos provided superb, wide-field views of star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. Mind you, I was at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon at 8400 ft elevation. But still, the views were better than expected. The wide field also made it easy for novice observers to find these objects.Daytime views are bright and the field of view is stunning. The binos are comfortable to hold ...

Crisp Bright Image at a Great Price

These are my first binoculars with ED glass. I have been using Nikon Trailblazers. The difference in image quality is immediately noticeable. The image is very crisp and the colors just seem to pop. They gather light very well and are a joy to view in near dusk conditions when I want to look for owls. I can change the focal point from 10' to 400' with about a 3/4 turn adjustment. I can't detect any distortion at all. These feel good in my hands. There are flat spots for finger holds which ma...

Again a Great Value for Top Quality

I am convinced that the name Celestron is the best kept secret when it comes to top quality binoculars. I have owned two Celestron telescopes that have given me great joy and satisfaction for many years because of their optical quality known the world over. Why not try their binoculars? With this in mind, more than 15 years ago I decided to buy a pair of Celestron Regal 8 x 42 roof prism binoculars for birding that performed very well when compared to both pairs my popular Swift Audobon 8.5 x 44...

Wonderful

These are an upgrade from the Nikons I've been using for the past few years. I use them mainly for birding. They are terrific. Crystal clear image. I felt like my old bins distorted colors, not a lot but in shadowy spots it was enough to interfere with IDing birds. These are comfortable, not too heavy, and so reasonably priced. I was looking at a few other products in the $500-$750 range but after reading the reviews I went with these and I am so happy I did. Love them!!

Great Gift

I gave these to my husband as a gift. He has already used them at a Nascar race and to watch ships sail the Chesapeake Bay. He wears bifocals and the Celestron Granite binocular has worked well with his glasses on or off. They are a bit heavier than he would like, but thats a testament to their quality construction. They arrived very quickly and were packaged well. I have always been happy with my purchases from this seller.

Celestron 10x42's Granite optics

I have owed different a few different types of binoculars and have been a amateur photographer preferring Minolta equipment. What you have here is a very good pair of optics for a decent price. They are smaller than the average pair of 10x50's, more like standard 8x32's, with exceptional clarity, much better than standard 10x50's. They function well and easily pack away in a glove box compartment. You could pay less, I have, and get less (read fuzzy), bigger and/or heavier. The thing is I have a...

Easy to Use

I love these binoculars! They are easy to use and easy to focus. Great value. The image is clear and bright. I wear glasses and found that this is the first pair of binoculars that I do not have to remove my glasses to use. I use these for birding on a daily basis. They bring in bird details from a near distance to across the lake.
