great

this thing rocks...the lens is fog resistant which is handy for early morning scouting and man you can see really far with the range...i like it also because of the fact that you use one eye like a telescope. worked great right out of the box...if your looking for something that isnt junk and looks really cool and does the job better than most than shell out the cash for this one

Love it

Why do we love it? We love the bright clear optic from the 42mm objective lens. We love the ability to judge range using the built in graticle - it is very accurate with practise and by knowing the physical dimensions of some common objects such as the length of the car, the height of a human. We love the built in compass useful for passing to someone else with a bearing so they can see what you are looking at. One small thing was the focus ring was initially a bit stiff but its becoming less st...

Perfect But....

Really Exelect Mono. The Downside:The Compass is not a north.south.e.w CompassIts a Line more like a range finder/map Right down the middle od the view and across the bottom.ANDthe Eye piece/rubber is not very comfortable.I would Love it if it didn't have the 'compass'!

Nice Product

I would have given it 5 stars if it had a tripod mount. Other than that its a great value.

'A quality product at a reasonably price'

I use this monocular when I don't want the bulk of binoculars. It has the feel and heft of a well made item. Easily fits in most pockets. I appreciate the caps provided that help keep the optics clear. I haven't had the need to estimate distances with this item so I can't comment on its accuracy. The view provided is bright and clear once you adjust the diopter to your eye.

Figured I'd go with the Celestron name thinking the quality control would be better..

Well where should I start, first unlike your usual service delivery was excruciatingly slow. When considering this purchase I saw it offered at less than half the cost under different names. Figured I'd go with the Celestron name thinking the quality control would be better........wrong.I could not focus the reticle and compass at the same time, it was one or the other. Plus it did not point north, off by 4 degrees and sometimes you'd have to slap it to get it to move. Contacted Cel...

Excellent Value and Accurate!

Excellent value at $42 for a field monocular. Compass is accurate to magnetic North. Weight is 334 grams or around 11 ounces (more than described). Length is 15cm or around 6 inches (less than described). Has three attachment points on the body of the monocular. A dim light held over the ambient light window can be used to illuminate the compass at dusk or in the dark. The body is rubberized for ease of handling. Some slight minor finishing issues.- The case is too baggy for pra...
