Good Value Near and Far

Using the product to safely view near and far features of equipment for facility inspections. Near focus was critical for my application and works as advertised.Separate adjustments for near and far focus could be inconvenient, but I'm usually using either one or the other on a given day.Good tool if you want to spend less than $100.

Excellent glass for the price!

-This monocular is well built and compact for the magnification. The focus at 7x isn't extremely intuitive but since I don't use this for the short depth of field work (at which it also excels!) I find the focus wheel comes with a bit of practice. The eye relief is quite good and works very well while wearing glasses (another plus for monoculars, in general). I haven't tried it in low-level light but the large diameter will surely work better than smaller monoculars at double the price. I highly...

Monocular Review

Initially found this monocular larger than expected but well built. However, its optical quality I would rate as very good. Good clarity to the edges as well as excellent eye relief as I wear glasses full time. Light gathering is also very good as I tested the unit by observing something in a dark corner and the image would be brighter than viewed with the naked eye. A little tricky to focus but you can quickly adapt to it. Purchased it primarily for its ability to short focus to observe things ...

I am a supervisor for a Meter Reading Department and the majority of our employees prefer this product over so many other monoculars we've used in the past. It has the best range from 7 to 32, the diameter of the scope is larger than most which makes for a greater viewing area. The only problem we've encountered with these monoculars is that they're not waterproof/resistant. When it rains moisture will get into the item if not careful. Other than that, its a great buy.

Very good Monocular and if you wear glasses it has great eye relief. It is a lot more convenient to carry than a set of binoculars , but it is larger than I expected

This would be a lovely monocular if it wasn't for a few critical flaws. With the 32mm objective, it provides a very nice image, even for distant viewing. Much better than most other monoculars I've tried. That you can get a quality image with such a long focal range (18" to infinity) in this relatively small unit is to be applauded. It comes at a cost, however. There are actually two focusers on this scope. One for close-focus (roughly 16 feet and less), and one for distant. They're easy to...

We bought a monocular to use as a geocaching tool. The key feature was the ability to focus on close items (18 inches). The product works very well and the optical quality for the price is excellent. It seems to be very solidly built. We have also taken the monocular on our mountain hikes and have been very pleased with its performance for bird and animal watching. Knocked a star off because it is not waterproof.

I am very familiar with Carson, having owned a couple binoculars with HD glass. I usedthose for surveillance work and for birding. One pair broke and they replaced them withoutany questions. I very much appreciate the company. As for this monocular, I shopped around and looked at several and was about to pay a lot morefor a premium monocular when I decided that I didn't need it. I gambled on this unit, hopingthat I would not need the better glass of a more expensive one. It's a bit large, bu...

I read the other reviews on this product and don't think the "carson x-view " I recived is the same one that is advertized. The one I recived has only one focusing ring located by the objective lens. The eye cup twist out that's the only thing it dose. I thought some of the reviews were complaing about two focusing rings mine has only one. It works very well it can focus on anything from very close to very far with ease. It has the same model number looks the same.the only thing I noticed...
