Bought this netbook awhile ago for class (college) and I love every moment I've spent with it.PROS:-Battery Life,I get about 10 hours which is phenomenal...no other netbook has been closer to Asus' EEE battery life thanks to the Super Hybrid Engine.(I mainly use it for surfing web while typing text documents @ 87% right now, its reading 9 hours and 45 minutes.)-Charging Speed, it takes only 2 hours or a little more to fully charge this netbook. That's quick in return for 10 hours of battery life...

I finally purchased this netbook after contemplating buying the Samsung Galaxy Tab, due out this Fall. For doing real work, on the road or as a second laptop in my living room, this netbook with a RAM upgrade made the most sense. [Edit: I too bought incompatable RAM, even though it was DDR3. A BIOS update fixes it, and you get the latest BIOS for the netbook.]I am very impressed with the battery life, but even more so with the processing speed and the usability of the 10" screen. I have been ...

I am going to Europe in a few weeks and thought a Netbook would be great to take along to conect to Internet and watch videos on planes and trains. I have to admit that I am somewhat disappointed in this product. I had hoped for more. I had thought about buying a iPad but decided instead to get a Kindle (a truly awesome device that I am so glad that I purchased} and a Netbook.ProsChoice of colors. Will PC makers ever learn from Apple, that people like some style in their PC.Matte screen finish...

ASUS tech support was incredibly RUDE!! Although it appeared that English might not be his native language, I could tell that he clearly understood my questions, although he would not give me an answer. He insisted on avoiding my question by trying to redirect me elsewhere. At one point, he was actually LAUGHING at me! One of the motivating factors in purchasing a computer in today's world, is performance of customer service. My first experience with ASUS tech support was the worst ever, an...

Ok, here's the deal. When typing on this beast, I often hit the space bar. The space bar is right next to the top of the mouse tracking zone. If you even glance it, your cursor will end up where your mouse is pointed. This is really anoying when trying to type anything. I'm not sure how Asus could get around this with the form factor ... Maybe a quick lock button for the track pad? Hmmmm.

This is a very high rated netbook including the rating by Consumer Reports. I am not impressed at all and even less impressed with ASUS Customer Service. I am now sending this back to ASUS for the 5th time for the same defect, the screen locks up in the boot process on the ASUS screen. I have lost all info on this unit 5 times and pretty much everything inside has been replaced at least once, sometimes more than once. First three times was sent to a vendor in Indiana for repairs. The fourth time...

This item was purchased primarily to lighten my traveling load.As a digital photographer, I am sensitive to the loss potential and fragility of digital media and heretofore have used my Apple MacBook Pro routinely as a daily backup to my CF an SD cards when shooting. The idea of a smaller, lighter, package - especially for internatioonal travel - seemed like a no brainer.I didn't need an optical drive as I would archive after sorting at home so a netbook seemed logical. All I wanted was a smalle...

This is my second and last ASUS and it is a real piece of junk. The first one I was sent wouldn't boot up out of the box. Amazon were great it was replaced. The replacement frequently won't boot up, the hard drive either doesn't start or it's not being read. I suspect a heat management problem. It's more likely to boot up if the hardware is stone cold. I tried slinging it in the fridge once and it booted up right away, but it usually takes between 3 and 20 attempts for it so start. Valium works ...

Great netbook, loving it so far.

Does everything in the specs. Works great, very small and light, nice display. Battery life is very impressive, (although I haven't quite got to the maximum hours advertised, but also haven't used it with maximum power saving settings). I have big hands and was concerned about the reduced keyboard size, but it is not at all a problem to use. The touch pad takes a bit of getting used to, but works fine. For web browsing and basic productivity tools its performace is impressive (for the size). All...

This is a bad product. Its amazing how slow this product runs. Then after 18 months the motherboard went out. Most the folks at the Geek Squad I brought this into for repair talked of how many of these ASUS products crash. BAD PRODUCT
