I REALLY want to give it five stars... but. (UPDATED)
Let me start with the good:So awesome. Great OS, fabulous improvements to the existing line bumping up the processor speed and adding the thunderbolt port. This is my second MacBook. Only if Apple were not so snobbish
I needed a new laptop and got the Mac because of I wanted a Unix based system for programming. Good, but could do better
I got my first MacBook Pro in 2006. It worked like a dream and I could not have had a better computer on which to complete a PhD. At that time there was iLife with iWeb so I could launch a website instantly having created a dot mac (later Me) account. Love the Experience

Mac Book Pro FTW!!
I've had this MacBook Pro for about a few weeks now and I feel that its a really outstanding machine! The last PC I had was was a HP Desktop on Windows XP and I didn't know whether to change to Mac OS. Well, I took the chance and I don't regret it at all. If your ever in the need to run Windows on your Mac look up VMware Fusion 4, really outstanding piece of software. Overall, I believe that in this case (even though it was pretty expensive), you get what you pay for....simply put....BEAST!

Great Laptop but...
This is a great laptop first of all. The trackpad and battery are such great conveniences especially since I'm using mine for college.
