PURCHASED FOR A BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR MY HUSBAND THE CHEF. HE WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. HE LOVES THE WAY IT HANDLES AND THE FACT THAT HE CAN TAKE IT WITH HIM EASIER THAN HIS MORE BULKER, MORE EXPENSIVE MODEL. ITS LIGHTER IN WEIGHT BUT CAN HANDLE THE SAME TASKS AS HIS OTHER.(hide full review)

APC is the way to go....
We're all trying to figure out how to make our budgets go further but sometimes we must buy the genuine replacements. This is the case. Not saying all the off brands are bad but you can't go wrong with APC replacement batteries. While with no name, one bad experience is all that is necessary to set you on course for using APC replacements. I've had two bad experiences and will not try off brand batteries again, at least at my Main job!

Absolute Necessity for Server Racks
APC Battery backup systems are an absolute necessity for IT needs. The battery itself is very easy to instal and keeps server equipment functioning for sufficient time for the automated shut down scripts to close down all servers and equipment to save your data from damage or loss in a power outage.

Fine Product but would prefer separate batteries
This is a fine replacement for the original unit that has expired after five years of service. Replacement was quite easy with no need to turn the system off. It would be much better if APC offerred replacement batteries instead of a full cartridge. Besides the extra cost, the disosal of a cartridge was tricky since the recycling center accepts only bare batteries, thus I had to disassemble the unit. Battery was APC-branded and the test date was less than 2.5 months ago. Great price, fast shipment, easy/free return of spent battery via APC website... what more can you ask for? FYI, if you are in the US or Canada, look for the RBC Recycling Program on the APC site--they offer two free disposal options, including free shipping to a recycler or free drop-off at Staples.
