Plug 'n' play, no problems at all
Works perfectly on a Lenovo laptop running WinXP with a Doublesight external monitor. I was a little bit worried that the manufacturer's website has no "drivers" section since my standard policy whenever possible is to ignore the install CD that comes with any piece of hardware and instead look online for the latest software. Everything seems to be working fine with the drivers provided in the box, however.The DVI monitor I'm using is a monster and the Aluratek device is not capable...

Great!!
This product is built very very well. The aluminum casing is very strong and the black color makes it look sleek and attractive. I use it to extend my desktop at work onto a 23 inch monitor at 1920 X 1080 resolution. I never use it for video but i imagine that it would work just fine.

good product, works w/ MacBook WIn 7 bootcamp.
I used it in MacBook Win 7 bootcamp for multiple display (3) via USB, worked great. However somehow the product received has different shape (square vs rectangular). I guess the rectangular one is even better.

Do not recommend
It does work, but pourly.Also:a)The pictured item is NOT what you receive.b)The only place the device software allows you to locate the monitor is to the right of your current display.

Nice Adapter, works well
Works really well, this is my second USB adapter for use with my 4 monitors (2 monitors running through video card and 2 running through USB adapters). Clean, crisp images, with my resolution set to 1920x1080.

Outstanding
Product works exactly as advertised right out of the box. Easy to set up. I had previously tried the StarTech version which I never got to work, even after repeated sessions with customer support. This product is great!

Perfect for adding an additional monitor.
I been using this device for 6 or 7 months now, and its been good to me. I have a desktop with a dual-head video card, and wanted to add a third monitor. This appeared to be a perfect solution. I ordered it online, and within a few minutes of receiving the device, my third monitor was online. I am running 3x 1680x1050 monitors on DVI. This thing works so well, you can not tell which monitors are on the video card, and which is powered by USB. I only use it for desktop applications and not gaming...

dont waste your time
I have a HP computer with a monitor connected to Vga and a dvi-d to a panasonic T V, I bought this unit to connect another TV through USB, this unit does not work with multiple monitors!!!!! It will not show desk top only wall paper, it works but you have no desk top on your monitor, I plug in the alurtek usb when I use my second tv and unplug it when I use my panasonic tv and computer, I want to see desk top on all three!!!!!!!!!! customer service was too busy to help me, do not buy this unit, ...

Easy and effective
I struggled for awhile trying to figure out how to add a third monitor to my PC. Adding an additional video card or buying a new PC configured for 3 monitors were my only choices...or so I thought.
