Usable for the right purpose but with caveats!!

If you are considering the 3M MPRO110, my recommendation is that you fully understand your use and purpose as well as the limited capabilities of this product before you buy it. It is definitely NOT a replacement for the typical portable projector by any measure. It certainly looks impressive and is a very compact unit. It will suit the specific needs of some but generally does not compare well with the capabilities of other portable projectors. In my situation I was only looking for a personal u...

I have this and I still like it after about 80 hours of use.As mentioned by others, the display is only VGA so you can't expectlaptop quality when projected 8 feet away. I actually use mine at up to 12 foot distance in a 80 to 90% darkened room. The VGA cable is definitely a hassle due to it being only about 2 feet long and quite stiff. I'm looking for a replacement out of convenience rather than necessity. If using a tripod, which I do and reccomend, I suggest, for stability you get the heaviest...

Buyer Beware. Know why you're buying it

I agree with both the good and the bad reviews. I bought this as part of a "road warrior office in a bag" kit that I put together. Everything I need (minus a printer) for less than 5 lbs. It's completely mobile. The projector is good, I can project a 36" PowerPoint slide show without turning off all the lights. I have to turn most of them off, however, and the cord length is a real pain. Jiggle the cable and the projector loses signal and needs a couple of minutes to reacquire the picture. ...

Absolute junk!

I bought this just a week or two after it was released, after reading a couple of reviews that were in the secondary (not mainstream) media. These reviews must have been written by geeks who never have to actually present anything. They said they liked it. I am not sure why! Because it is small?--maybe, but other than that, it is useless. I can't imagine subjecting a group of more than one to try to look at the image. They would question why I did not just show it on my notebook computer. T...

Impressive!

I was extremely impressed with this tiny projector. As with any other novel piece of technology, I expect that there will be many advances and improvements in the next few years. That said, this is a great starting point.I got it for my little brother for Christmas, so that he can watch videos from his ipod at a larger size and not harm his eyes by focussing on the tiny ipod screen. For this purpose, it is phenomenal. We watch entire movies on the ceiling or on walls in the house. The colors are ...

Don't bother

I bought this today and will return it tomorrow. It is basically useless because the image is horrific and the length of the cords make it even more useless. Nice idea but I would say it is about 5 generations away from being anything that is actually useful. Total waste of $.

3M Micro Professional Projector MPR0110

Easy to setup and install. This is a great travel projector, I found it worked great against a 3x4' screen or white wall. With lights dimmed easy to see details. You can carry it in your coat pocket, just plug into usb port and point.

Useful, Light, Easy to use.

I like what I've got. It is exactly what is intended for. A Small projector for small projects. You may use it for your own amusement, but it will not replace your 50" plasma TV, "Yet". Also, if you consider its limitations and advantages, you will find this projector to be very useful. I don't think it is hard to operate at all; but; I've been through my share of gadgets.

Expectations were low but exceeded ...

I had wanted one of these for a while mainly to watch movies in flight. Projecting on to the seat in front of me vs. viewing on an Ipod screen was too much to resist. I had a $200 pricepoint and was tempted to get it and am pleased so far. My take:- It's not fair that a reviewer pointed out that you needed to remove a screw to put in the battery. Hard to believe the reviewer did not have something that would allow them to easily open this. I'm glad it's there as I have too many devices that have...

3M, Amazon and Tiger Direct Acting Unethically

In early August, 2009, my wife bought me a 3M MPR0110 Micro Professional Projector for $205.98. I returned it to Amazon almost immediately for the following reasons:1. I tried to get it to work with two different laptops and could never get them to recognize the device.2. After trying the above, both computers crashed with the message that they had suffered a serious error.3. The only thing I could get to work was the 3M logo and it was so dim that it could only be seen in a completely darkened ...
